Well first let's let you introduce yourself. AF: Hi everyone. I am a speech therapist and train unique education instructor and have been working in the field of education for quite some time now.
Some things were falling through the cracks for them and they were struggling. And so we began to see the very same patterns of behavior, time and time again with, these students that, you know, sometimes when they're in high school and transitioning to college, we look at them and we say their failure to launch, or in some cases they're, they're the ones that go to college.
What, you know, what the problem is. So, so we started to look at those students in particular and what we found was that they all had the same pattern of, of really showing weak points in the locations of executive function. That's, you know, where I started to actually look at it and, and you know, beginning with the college age and then truly moving down to high school and middle school and we see lots of times that students begin struggling click this link with these skills as early as upper primary school and middle school, clerk, you know, so I'm pleased to be here.
Executive Functions Assessment
I was introduced to the idea of executive working abilities when I initially became a supporter, fortunately. And it's definitely one of those things where if it's present, I believe you take it for approved if you have good abilities.
And after that I find that a great deal of parents can't really define that. You know, they, they know what they're seeing. And after that I state, well, is it this is it this is it this And then they resemble, Oh yeah. And I resemble, all right, you have executive functioning concerns.
